DESITIN! Still as good as I remember!
Kathleen· Review provided by walmart.com · December 1, 2024
Ah, yes. Good old diaper cream. Remember it well... Sad to say that it's 45 years later and now I need it for myself, not the baby! DESITIN works like a charm. Although there is one thing I just do not remember at all. I would have thought I would have remembered if just touching this stuff with cloth of any kind ruined the cloth, i.e., clothing. I don't remember ever having this issue before. But I sure do now. I guess the only fix is to be ultra careful not to get this cream on anything you ever want to wear again. My biggest problem is transfer from my fingers, even though I wipe, it gets on my jeans, etc. The towels don't matter but it is highly annoying to have permanent white marks on your clothes. That's my only complaint. I love Desitin, still works perfectly, does the job. Just watch your fingers...
Works but smells worse

This product does work & probably one of the thicker diaper rash pastes our there so its great for prevention especially at night or prolong periods in a diaper, because of the tickness it also works great for treatment.

So why 2 stars we use this for older special needs child & honestly age doesn't matter as its used by all ages, because they use fish oil it over powers and legit all you can smell & its strong smell. So though it's works rather use Balmex which has more unscented vs you can be in a room & distinctly know if someone is using it so its a dignity thing for us. Also though we have mixed feelings about tubes & we get ease of them for diaper bags or daycare/school but 1lb tub is cheaper at Walmart just bought there daily cream (unscented) also for the money the best non-yeast based diaper rash Calmoseptine(medline has a cheaper version in medical line) is the one paste that we use and was recommended that is a pink thicker stuff but it has stuff that not only treats a rash but also helps irritated skin, cools & knumbs it so no matter the age if in diapers & gets a rash or redness we only use it than & clears up and though we have only used it for older kids definitely understand why adult market uses it.

For a period of time Purple Desitin didn't have a strong smell to it but as long as it does we refuse to use it but ee wish that Sam's would bring back Blue Daily stuff as well as the tubs end of the day its so much cheaper to buy 1lb/16oz tub or offer both like if they had a Tub & Tube combo one for at home and one on the go

This Destin maximum strength diaper rash paste works to effectively treat and help prevent diaper rash discomfort. This product is made with 40% maximum-level zinc oxide. It's a thick made cream, that provides 5-in-1 action to treat, heal, protect, soothe and prevent rash. It seals out the wetness and soothes your babies chafed skin. This product protects skin up to 12 hours. It's hypoallergenic and gentle enough to use daily. It's paraben, phthalates, dye and soap free. This is the #1 choice of pediatricians. It does seem to help after a few times of applying it. I think it works better than most other brands I've tried.
best diaper rash cream

The best cream for diaper rash. It helps right away on the first application. I've noticed that when I apply desitin after a diaper change and a couple hours pass and I have to change the diaper again, I can see a significant difference, and the rash begins to heal. Ive tried a lot of different ones, and there is no other one that works as fast as this. i highly recommend desitin. it is worth the price. And remember if the rash DOES NOT GO AWAY THEN IT IS NOT A RASH, IT IS A YEAST INFECTION. because desitin heals rash right away.. and if it doesn't heal after the first application or if you don't see an improvement then it is a yeast infection.
