Dan grew up skateboarding quite proficiently before being diagnosed with RP at age thirteen on the heels of a routine eye exam. Managing the loss of his sight on all levels has been no easy task, though Dan has taken it in strides, flipping a negative into a positive for himself and so many others.Dan has earned his Master's degree in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) and founded a 501c3 non-profit called Keep Pushing Inc., which teaches adaptive life skills to those dealing with vision loss and acts as an entry point to adaptive skateboarding for visually impaired (VI) skateboarders.
